Shakamak Announces Additional Referendum Information Sessions
MSD of Shakamak will host two additional community information sessions this fall to provide residents with factual information about the district’s proposed operating referendum.
The first session will be held September 15 at 6:00 p.m. at Lebanon Church in Midland. A second session is scheduled for October 19 at 6:00 p.m. in the Shakamak High School Library.
Superintendent Jacinda Smith will provide a presentation explaining the proposed referendum, the financial factors leading to the request, estimated taxpayer impact, and how referendum funding would be used.
The sessions are part of the district’s continuing effort to make clear and accurate information available to the community ahead of the November election.
To help the district prepare for the topics residents would most like addressed, community members are encouraged to submit questions in advance. Questions submitted through the form will help guide the information presented at upcoming sessions and allow the district to provide complete, accurate responses.
